A Life Enriched with Creativity, Community & Celebration

At Fewcott House, we believe that well-being extends beyond care—it’s about joy, connection, and having something to look forward to each day.

We’re proud to have a full-time Activities Coordinator, who is not only deeply dedicated to our residents but also an exceptionally talented artist. Michelle ensures that each day includes engaging, meaningful activities designed around our residents’ interests and abilities.

From bingo and quizzes to karaoke sessions and arts and crafts, there’s always something fun and fulfilling to enjoy. Residents are gently encouraged to join in, and the results—especially the art—speak for themselves. Below are just a few examples of the beautiful creations our residents have proudly made.

Personal Celebrations

We love to make each resident feel special. Birthdays are celebrated in style, complete with a cake and candles, room decorations, and a group singalong with fellow residents and staff. It’s about making cherished memories and ensuring no one ever feels alone on their special day.

Special Events & Entertainment

To keep life vibrant and varied, we regularly invite external entertainers to perform or host sessions. These may include:

  • Professional singers
  • Animal therapy visits
  • Carol singers during the festive season
  • Seasonal celebrations (e.g. D-Day, Remembrance Day, Easter)
  • Religious or cultural festivals important to our residents

Our Mince Pie & Mulled Wine Night during the holidays is a favourite, filled with warmth, music, and laughter.

Staying Connected with the Community

We’re lucky to have strong ties with our local village. On selected Fridays, we take residents to the nearby White Lion public house, where they can enjoy coffee mornings with pastries and good company—perfect for a change of scenery and some fresh conversation.
