Fiona has been practicing Appreciative Inquiry since the mid-2000s. She also draws on her experience of community development in the UK and internationally, adult education, and pastoral ministry with the United Reformed Church. Fiona is currently a freelance facilitator.

Fiona co-authored the book Appreciating Church, the conversation cards “More than Welcome”, and the IAAI Appreciative Inquiry Facilitators Handbook which is used as the basis of introductory and advanced training. Her most recent publication is On the Being and Becoming of Appreciative Inquiry and Christian Faith in the AI Practitioner journal of November 2024.
