Rob Griffiths
Social Worker
Rob is a registered social worker who has worked in practice, management and strategic/senior roles in local authority social services, the NHS (managing joint NHS/local authority services for mental health and learning disability services), and for a large registered social landlord.
He has over 25 years’ experience in consulting and advisory roles including a period as a specialist advisor in efficiency strategy and planning for the Care Services Efficiency Delivery programme in the Department of Health. This is where he (along with Dan Short – below) began to develop his interest and expertise in Appreciative Inquiry as an underpinning ethos that could support the social care and health organisations he was advising to:
- Develop and deploy strengths based approaches to support people who draw on social services support or are NHS patients.
- Deliver successful strategy development, organisational development, service improvement, staff development, and value for money programmes
